Due to covid at one point or another we are being forced to have diner at home more regularly that we usually do, while you can still have a great experience even if you are not an excellent cook, by ordering from your favorite restaurants, and I strongly recommend that you do so to support them during these very difficult times, perhaps the weakest part in order to have an excellent meal at home is having the right wine(s) to go with your meals, especially if you don’t have a wine fridge.
Most people do not have a wine fridge at home, and we have limited storage options to keep wine stored properly. But even if you do, you may not want to invest in having too many bottles when you still don’t know what you will be eating over the next few weeks.
Another problem is knowing how to pair, which wine (of the ones you have) goes best with what you are eating. And if you are not drinking a lot, you may not want to spoil the wine by leaving it open too long.
